Are you feeling stuck in your life and not sure what steps to take? Do you ever feel over-whelmed and anxious by every day issues? Feeling like you have no where to turn to deal with your challenges? Working together I can support you in finding the right path for you, step by step. In a comfortable, non judgmental environment, we will find the solutions that are meaning-ful to your life, and help you get where you want to be. I believe that even the smallest changes can have a great impact on mental health and quality of life.
I’m a registered social worker and have spent over a decade providing counselling and emotional support to clients and their families. I believe that we all have the capacity to find our own solu-tions; sometimes we just need a helping hand getting there. Life is full of ebbs and flows that cause situational stress. Mental health is a continuum that fluctuates over time, and when stress is present, it can be challenging to see and experience the positive pleasures in life. My counsel-ling approach is to help you find the ways to cope with life’s day to day stressors that hold you back from being at your best.
The clinical approaches I work with are Mindfulness, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Motivational In-terviewing and Emotion based Therapy. I am experienced in supporting clients from various cul-tural backgrounds and ethnicities that may be experiencing challenges in adapting to new envi-ronments and expectations.
I hold a Master’s of Social Work degree from Carleton University, and bachelor’s degrees from both McGill and Concordia Universities in Montreal. I am certified as a cyber-counsellor and can provide critical incident crisis management at the group or organizational level.
In addition to in person counselling, I can offer support through telephone, video and e-counselling. Email or call me for a free consultation.
