Are you feeling stuck in your life and not sure what steps to take? Do you ever feel over-whelmed and anxious by every day issues? Feeling like you have no where to turn to deal with your challenges? Working together I can support you in finding the right path for you, step by step. In a comfortable, non judgmental environment, we will find the solutions that are meaningful to your life, and help you get where you want to be. I believe that even the smallest changes can have a great impact on mental health and quality of life.
I’m a registered social worker and have spent over a decade providing counselling and emotional support to clients and their families. I believe that we all have the capacity to find our own solutions; sometimes we just need a helping hand getting there. Life is full of ebbs and flows that cause situational stress. Mental health is a continuum that fluctuates over time, and when stress is present, it can be challenging to see and experience the positive pleasures in life. My counselling approach is to help you find the ways to cope with life’s day to day stressors that hold you back from being at your best.
The clinical approaches I work with are Mindfulness, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Emotion based Therapy. I am experienced in supporting clients from various cultural backgrounds and ethnicities that may be experiencing challenges in adapting to new environments and expectations.
I hold a Master’s of Social Work degree from Carleton University, and bachelor’s degrees from both McGill and Concordia Universities in Montreal. I am certified as a cyber-counsellor and can provide critical incident crisis management at the group or organizational level.
In addition to in person counselling, I can offer support through telephone, video and e-counselling. Email or call me for a free consultation.
I provide services in English and French
