Are you feeling unmotivated and not sure what to do? Have you tried different strategies on your own like distracting yourself and it never seems to work for long enough? Does it feel very difficult to find a person in your network to support you and give unbiased, useful advice? I can work with you in a professional, empathetic and goal-oriented manner. Together we can implement strategies and work through problematic feelings and thoughts that are holding you back from experiencing a higher quality of mental wellbeing!
As a Registered Social Worker, I believe that we can use your strengths to work through interpersonal and independent challenges you have. We live in very uncertain times and all of us can go through highs and lows with our mental health. My counselling approach is structured to allow us to focus on the issues that are having the biggest impact on your wellbeing. However, I am also flexible where I believe and can adapt to the natural fluctuations that happen your life.
The types of therapeutic approaches I practice include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Family Based Therapy. I support many different types of clients. However, most commonly I see young adults and professionals that are managing higher levels of stress with a variety of familial or relational stressors and are struggling with impacts of anger, depression and anxiety.
Currently I am offering support via Video Sessions and Telephone Sessions. I will offer in person sessions in the future, but I do not have a set date to return to in person yet. Email or call me for a free 20-minute consultation.
I provide services in English.
My email address for any questions and for e-transfers is firstname.lastname@example.org. I can also be reached by text or phone call at 613-402-1544.
