Sogol Kafi is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Sogol has been working in the mental health field for many years, in the areas of counselling, treatment, research and education. Prior to beginning her private practice she was seeing clients at Saint Paul University at the Center for Couples, Individuals and Families for various mental health challenges. Sogol is a frequent lecturer at Algonquin College and has been the Coordinator of the Crisis Management, Human Psychology program since 2012. She is a published author in academic journals with a focus on relationship and attachment theory and an occasional producer of a Mental Health radio show in Ottawa.
Sogol holds a master’s degree in Counselling & Spirituality from a joint program at Saint Paul University and the University of Ottawa. Her intensive training at the master’s level included both individual and couples counselling. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa in Social Sciences with a major in Psychology.
