My favourite part of therapy is collaborating with you, tapping into your own inner wisdom, and helping you clarify your values and needs.

There are many reasons you may be considering seeing a therapist. You may want to work through complex and confusing emotions or challenge negative thought patterns that keep you feeling frustrated, despondent or anxious. You may have experienced one or several traumas and want to work through it to achieve some healing. You may be interested in personal growth or want to learn new coping strategies to deal with some of the challenges in your life.

As your Registered Psychotherapist, I want to begin by building rapport. My favourite part of therapy is collaborating with you, tapping into your own inner wisdom, and helping you clarify your values and needs. I like for us to be creative with the use of metaphors to capture the essence of how you are feeling. My goal is to provide a safe space where you do not need to fear judgement thus allowing you to be as open and honest with yourself as possible.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist through the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I have extensive experience providing individual psychotherapy to all individuals, of all genders, ages 18 and up. I also work with couples who want to address challenges in their relationship, whether it is prior to making a long-term commitment, while married/committed or after separation or divorce.

I have a Master of Education, in Counselling, from Western University. My Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is from McGill University. I have been in private practice since 1993. I love learning and always have several books on the go to continually update my knowledge in the field of Psychotherapy.

I am quite eclectic in my psychotherapy orientation and pick and choose amongst several modalities in order to best help each client. I draw on cognitive behavioural, emotionally focused, psychodynamic, attachment, feminist and interpersonal techniques and theories. I am happy to provide psychoeducation as well as short term and long-term psychotherapy.

It is each client’s responsibility to find out what coverage they have. Fees are due prior to or just after each session. I currently accept e-transfer or cash.
