Hello and welcome.

It takes strength and determination to take those first initial steps towards reaching out to others for help and for many, this is a new and very unfamiliar experience. I hope I can meet with you as you begin this journey and offer you a safe and comfortable space to begin sharing your story and embark on a meaningful change together.

I have been a registered nurse for over twenty-five years and have spent most of my career working as a critical care nurse in the intensive care unit. I have drawn on my many years of nursing experience and caring for patients and families during critical and life changing times to offer a compassionate understanding, and welcoming environment to those who may be struggling with a variety of stresses and challenges. I have a strength-based and person-centered approach and offer a welcoming space to people who may be struggling with compassion fatigue, moral distress, burnout, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, illness, and parenting struggles. As an animal lover and parent to a reactive young pup, I also extend an inviting space to other animal parents who may be experiencing challenges with their pets, including grief and loss.

I believe we all have strengths and inner resiliency and believe that healing begins through compassion, collaboration, commitment, and connection. My inclusive practice is grounded by the importance of offering safety, respect, and a non-judgment space to share and explore feelings, thoughts, and emotions together.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Ottawa and have just completed my Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychology from Yorkville University. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like to schedule a free phone consultation.
