Registered Psychotherapist

Independent Associate

FEE : $160/hr
  • Individual Therapy (Ages 15+)
  • Anxiety, Depression, Emotion Regulation, Cultural Issues

I approach each client’s needs from an interpersonal, person-centred sense, making sure to tailor each intervention to their individual and unique needs.

As a therapist, I aim to understand you with curiosity, compassion, and understanding. I aim to support you with distressful, and uncomfortable thoughts, feelings and experiences while, at the same time, encouraging you to explore further how to empower yourself and develop more autonomy in your life.

I have experience in providing individual therapy to adults (18+) experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relational issues, and cultural, spirituality and faith issues, among others. I also have experience in working as a support worker by providing practical assistance to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and 6+ years of volunteer experience working with youth (15+) of colour from an anti-oppressive, empowerment perspective.

Based on my experiences in working with diverse populations, I approach my clinical work from an interpersonal, person-centred lens. I aim to tailor each approach and intervention based on your unique needs. I stay with your experience by tracking your behaviour, affect, cognitions and somatics, while also providing structure to sessions in order to aid you towards reaching your desired goals.

My approach is integrative and I work from a variety of modalities such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Transactional Analysis while incorporating mindfulness and somatic experiencing.

I have a BA in Psychology and a MA in Psychotherapy, Counselling and Spirituality specializing in Individual Therapy. I am also bilingual and fluent in both English and Farsi.

Services currently only available virtually (video or telephone).
