“The greatest gift you can give someone is the space to be [their] authentic self.”
Sometimes it can feel like your mind works differently, like you’re carrying anxiety, doubt, or intrusive thoughts that others don’t fully understand. You may feel stuck in patterns that are exhausting to manage on your own. I work with people navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, self-esteem concerns, and identity-related experiences, including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients. I also welcome people who are curious about whether OCD or neurodivergence may be part of what they’re experiencing, even without a formal diagnosis.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I draw from ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and humanistic approaches, tailoring therapy to your individual needs and lived experience. Together, we work to better understand what’s keeping you stuck, develop practical tools for managing anxiety and intrusive thoughts, and build a more flexible and compassionate relationship with yourself.
I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the most widely recognized and evidence-based treatment for OCD, and support clients experiencing obsessions, compulsions, intrusive thoughts, reassurance-seeking, perfectionism, and related anxiety patterns.
I offer virtual individual therapy for adults, teens, and children ages 13 and up. My work is neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based, informed by my background in psychology and gender and sexuality studies, as well as my experience working with autistic, ADHD, and other neurodivergent individuals. You’re welcome here whether or not you have a formal diagnosis.
Sessions are offered online through a secure platform, with weekday and early morning availability. I also offer free 15-minute consultations so you can get a sense of whether we feel like a good fit. If you’d like to connect, you’re welcome to reach out.
Lived Experience (Direct or Indirect)
My lived experience includes
- Blended Family/Divorce/Separation
- Chronic Illness
- Neurodivergence
My lived experience as a neurodivergent, queer person living with chronic illness shapes not only my understanding of the challenges people face, but also the values I bring into my work; empathy, patience, and a strong respect for individual difference. Having lived with OCD for many years, I understand how overwhelming and isolating it can feel, and I take pride in offering a compassionate, non-judgmental space for those navigating similar challenges. My personal journey is complemented by several years of experience working in the mental health field, where I have developed a grounded, informed, and person-centred approach. I aim to integrate both lived and professional knowledge to meet people where they are, honouring their individual experiences while supporting them in ways that feel safe, respectful, and empowering.
