“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add colour to my sunset sky.” – Rabindranath Tagore

Hello and welcome! There are times in our lives when the direction along our path remains unclear. We know we are going forward, yet we are unsure of our destination. It is in these moments of life that we may turn to our systems of support to help guide the way. As a member of your support system, my goal is to help plant the seeds along your path that will allow you to weather the storm and emerge along your journey with blossoming hope. I am proud of you for taking a brave step toward this goal.

I primarily work with individuals (aged 16+), couples, and families (with children aged 12+) who are navigating intrapersonal or interpersonal conflict, relationship concerns with self and other, communication issues, and adjustment to life-cycle transitions. I also work with such presentations as coping with career burnout, depression, anxiety, grief, and ADHD. Having lived courageously with type 1 diabetes for 30+ years, I have a sincere interest in supporting individuals and their families navigating the psycho-social impacts of chronic illness on emotional and relational well-being.

I strive to create a safe therapeutic space where my clients will feel seen, heard, and understood. Together, we will connect at a fundamentally human level, where empathy and compassion meet the human experience. We will then work to understand your concerns by broadening the perspective toward a systemic lens. This means I will lean in with curiosity toward the familial, social, and cultural narratives that influence the relational sense of self. We will work to bring awareness to the interaction dynamics that inform your current challenges, while also identifying your inner sources of resiliency to foster relational growth.

I am currently accepting new clients and would be glad to connect for a free 15-minute phone consultation to address your questions or curiosities, and to learn more about how I can best support you along your journey. Please feel free to reach out by email at ainsleyrp@cottonmillrehab.com.

I look forward to connecting!
