Carol-Montes

"We cannot change anything until we accept it" Carl Jung

Carol is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She completed medical training and psychiatry-focused education in Venezuela, where she worked in public and private mental health settings from 2002 to 2014. In Canada, Carol exclusively practices as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario. This education does not grant medical licensure in Canada, and she does not practice medicine in Ontario.

She works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, grief, workplace stress, and relationship difficulties. Her practice is inclusive and culturally responsive, welcoming clients from diverse backgrounds.

Carol’s approach is collaborative, client-centered, and trauma-informed. She integrates Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, tailoring interventions to each client’s individual needs. When appropriate, she may also incorporate mindfulness, stress management, emotional regulation, and practical problem-solving strategies.

Carol provides a safe and respectful space where clients can reflect on their experiences, gain self-awareness, and receive support to cope with life’s challenges. Privacy and confidentiality are central values in her practice.
