Sometimes life can become riddled with difficulties, and we may need a guiding hand to help diffuse our troubles and rediscover our deepest personal meanings and values. As a therapist, I strive to help clients tap into their inner world, and rediscover themselves through their own inner strengths. I help clients face their tough battles whether they stem from the past or present. I understand that painful or stressful situations can leave one feeling out of control, or in chaos. I support my clients by fostering hope, inner growth, meaning and by empowering them.
I work with individuals and couples with a wide range of difficulties, such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, traumatic experiences, spiritual injury, relationship issues, life transitions, and more. I use an integrative therapeutic approach to support my clients including but not limited to: Psychodynamic Theory, Existentialism, Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Imago Therapy and more. Each individual and couple is unique, thus I strive to tailor to their specific needs. Furthermore, I believe in leading with a culturally-sensitive lens to accomodate for the multicultural community seeking help for mental health.
I have a Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology, and Master of Arts in Counselling & Spirituality, specializing in the Couples and Family Counselling stream. I can speak English, Hindi and Urdu fluently.
Often one may struggle to reach out for help. It is understandable as taking the first step is the hardest. My hope is to provide a compassionate, empathetic, and safe environment for you to explore your hardships and work towards your unique goals. Therapy can provide a space for your voice to be heard.
