"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers
Hi, I’m Julia. I know reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I’m glad you’re here.
Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, struggling to sit with difficult emotions, untangling relational patterns that keep showing up, or working through questions of identity and belonging, I’m here to explore those questions with you, with curiosity, without judgment, and toward a more connected sense of Self.
I offer a warm, culturally sensitive space and work with clients from a range of backgrounds, including immigrants and children of immigrants navigating cultural identity or the tension between family expectations and their own sense of self. I also have a particular interest in supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and neurodivergent clients who are looking for a space where they can show up exactly as they are.
I believe the relationship between therapist and client is itself a source of healing. My approach is deeply relational. I show up as a real, present person in the room with you, not just a neutral observer. I draw on evidence-based approaches including Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and somatic and mindfulness-based practices, within a trauma-informed and person-centred framework.
Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Whether you know exactly what you’re looking for or you’re not quite sure where to start, I’d be honoured to be part of your journey. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a feel for how we work together before any commitment. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and work under the clinical supervision of Yena Bi, M.Ed., R.P. Sliding-scale services are available for those who need it.
If any of this resonates, I warmly invite you to reach out. I’d love to connect.
