It can be extremely daunting to take the first step to start therapy, but I would be happy to join you on your mental health journey. I like to work collaboratively with clients as you are the expert, and you know yourself best. My approach to therapy is a holistic one, where we will use a variety of treatment modalities to find the one that best suits you. Some of the treatment approaches we may use include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Solution-focused Therapy (BSFT), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
I believe in providing a warm and comfortable environment, where everyone feels safe and free from judgement. My ultimate aim in working with you is to support you in achieving your goals. I work with individuals and couples aged 16 and above who need help managing or coping with a range of issues such as trauma and abuse, anxiety, depression, gender or sexual identity concerns, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and chronic pain. Additionally, I strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome as I work with a range of clients from different cultural backgrounds, individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, and will always work to ensure sessions are led at a pace you are comfortable with and will never pressure you to speak about topics before you are ready to discuss them.
I completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and am under the co-supervision of Yoshie Martinez, M. Ed. Registered Psychotherapist and Yena Bi, M. Ed. Registered Psychotherapist.
