It can be extremely daunting to take the first step to start therapy, but I would be happy to join you on your mental health journey. I like to work collaboratively with clients as you are the expert, and you know yourself best. My approach to therapy is a holistic one, where I will use a variety of treatment models to find the one that best suits you. Some of the treatment approaches we may use include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Solution-focused Therapy (BSFT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Somatic Experiencing.
I believe in providing a warm and comfortable environment, where everyone feels safe and free from judgement. My ultimate aim in working with you is to support you in achieving your goals. I am interested in working with individuals, couples, and families with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and chronic pain. Additionally, I work with a range of clients from different cultural backgrounds and those from the LGBTQ+ community.
I’m currently completing my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and am under the co-supervision of Yoshie Martinez, M. Ed. Registered Psychotherapist and Yena Bi, M. Ed. Registered Psychotherapist. Psychology has always been a passion of mine and I have been studying in this field for the past six years. I obtained my Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal. Over the course of my studies, I was a volunteer at the Cedar’s Cancer Center at the McGill University Health Center, where I worked with patients during their cancer treatment journey.
