“Healing is the most courageous act a human being can do” -Dr. Nicole LePera
Hi there! I’m Marissa.
I believe each person has their own unique story filled with beautiful moments and challenging obstacles. Whether you’re going through a particularly difficult season of life or looking to work on a specific challenge you’ve been facing, therapy can offer you a safe space to be vulnerable, to explore new perspectives, and to find acceptance. My goal as a therapist is to build strong therapeutic relationships with my clients so that we can work collaboratively to achieve their goals. I take a person-centered approach, which allows my clients to guide the sessions based on their needs. I also incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) when appropriate.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Child Studies with a minor in Psychology from Carleton University, and I am currently completing my master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I am working under the supervision of Julie Clarke, MACP, RP, SEP.
I understand that seeking help can sometimes seem daunting. Feelings of uncertainty and discomfort are normal. I am here to validate your experience and support you throughout the entire process.
If you think we would be a good fit, please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to speaking with you!
