“When we are no longer afraid, we can embrace pain and sorrow, and we can look deeply into our roots.” — Thich Nhat Hanh
I offer a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences without judgment. Therapy can be a place to reconnect with yourself, understand the patterns that developed to help you survive, and begin building a life that feels safer and more authentic.
As an immigrant who spent much of my childhood moving between cities and countries, I understand the challenges of change, identity, and trying to find a sense of belonging. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy and allow me to work with sensitivity toward the cultural, family, and societal pressures that many of us face. My approach is flexible and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. I also recognize that trauma is often held in the body, showing up as tension, hypervigilance, exhaustion, emotional numbness, or a constant feeling of being unsafe. The goal is to create safety for your mind and body.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, carrying the effects of trauma, facing challenges in your relationships, or adjusting to a significant life change, therapy can offer a space to pause and heal. I am particularly passionate about supporting women who are recovering from emotional abuse, intimate partner violence, and unhealthy relationship patterns.
My lived experience includes
- Blended Family/Divorce/Separation
- Discrimination
- Grief/Loss
- Religious Trauma
- Trauma
