"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we'll ever do." — Brené Brown
Grounded in my belief that healing begins through genuine human connection, I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth, resilience, and meaningful change. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to do it alone. My goal is to provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore your experiences at your own pace.
I am a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology student at the University of Ottawa and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). My passion for mental health stems from a genuine curiosity about human behaviour and a desire to help individuals better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and create lasting, meaningful change. Throughout my education and professional experiences, I have developed a deep appreciation for the strength and resilience people demonstrate, even during life’s most difficult moments.
As someone from a multicultural background who is fluent in English, French, and Farsi, I understand that culture, family, identity, and lived experiences shape the way we view ourselves and the world around us. I am passionate about creating an inclusive, culturally responsive therapeutic environment in which clients from diverse backgrounds feel respected, accepted, and safe to be their authentic selves. I believe therapy should honour each person’s unique values, experiences, and goals, and I strive to build a collaborative relationship that reflects those individual needs.
I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to support your journey and overall well-being. My approach to therapy is integrative and client-centred, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. I believe that while our past experiences influence us, they do not have to define our future. Together, we can explore the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical coping strategies, strengthen your existing resilience, and work toward creating a life that aligns with your values.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I am here to support you with empathy, curiosity, and compassion. I believe that therapy is not about “fixing” who you are, but about creating a space where you can gain insight, build on your strengths, and move toward the life you want to live.
If you are interested in booking a session with me, I welcome you to contact me by email or complete the intake form provided on this page. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey toward healing and personal growth.
Lived Experience (Direct or Indirect)
My lived experience includes
- Blended Family/Divorce/Separation
- Grief/Loss
- Spirituality (Non-Religious)
- Trauma
Growing up within a multicultural environment has given me an appreciation for the many ways culture, family values, and identity influence our experiences, relationships, and mental well-being. I understand that navigating different expectations and balancing multiple aspects of one's identity can sometimes feel overwhelming, and I strive to create a therapeutic space that is culturally responsive, inclusive, and respectful of every individual's unique story.
Like many people, I have experienced periods of uncertainty, transition, and personal growth that have strengthened my appreciation for resilience, self-compassion, and the importance of feeling supported during life's challenges. These experiences continue to shape the empathy and openness I bring into the therapy room.
While my lived experiences inform my perspective, my work remains client-centred and evidence-based. I believe that every person's story is unique, and my role is to meet you with curiosity, compassion, and respect as we work collaboratively toward the goals that matter most to you.
