"The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination." - Carl Rogers

Hi there,

I want to recognize that starting the process of therapy may not seem like the easiest thing to do, but even just browsing this website is a great first step! My name is Samantha, feel free to call me Sam. It is my goal to make you feel comfortable and respected throughout your therapeutic journey, to offer a non-judgemental space, and lend an ear when you feel in need. I believe that we possess strength within ourselves to make changes in our lives for the better, and it is my job to support you in achieving the goals you desire for yourself.

Every single person is unique, and I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual and what works for you. This is a process, and we will work collaboratively every step of the way to ensure you feel heard and that your needs are met, recognizing that you are an expert of your own life. A variety of modalities resonate with me including cognitive informed, narrative, mindfulness-based approaches and humanistic. I can provide a calm and compassionate presence to therapy as we explore your thoughts and feelings and find ways to build your coping abilities.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I receive ongoing supervision with Pamela Green (Registered Psychotherapist).

If you believe we may be a good fit, don’t hesitate to reach out. It would be a privilege and I look forward to hearing from you!
