I am a compassionate and dedicated person, committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive therapeutic space where clients feel empowered and accepted. My academic journey began with studying sociology, political science and women’s studies at the University of Ottawa. Currently, I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree at Yorkville University. As a practicum student, I work under the supervision of Aline Maia (MA, Med, RP CRPO, Registered Psychotherapist) and hold the title of a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO.
If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or challenges related to social and cultural adaptation, life transitions, and the need for self-compassion, I will work alongside you to support you. Together, we’ll identify challenges, gain insight, overcome obstacles, and strengthen your connection to self and others, fostering personal growth.Recognizing that every individual is unique – with different values, belief systems, and life experiences – I engage in genuine dialogue to understand your identity. My diverse background and lived experiences allow me to work effectively with clients from various populations, including refugees and immigrants, and I warmly welcome individuals of all backgrounds and identities. My ultimate goal is for clients to leave our time together with greater confidence, clarity, and the ability to live to their fullest potential.
In my practice, I integrate various evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT), Narrative Therapy (NT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamics.
I firmly believe that seeking mental health support is an act of self-care and self-love. If you are ready to take the next step toward well-being and believe we are a good fit, please contact me. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and support you on your journey.
