Are you the one who “figured it out” but still feels lost?

On paper, things are going well. You showed up, worked hard, adapted. You’ve learned to be strong, capable, and independent – maybe even learned to keep going because pausing doesn’t feel efficient or productive.

And yet, something feels off.

Maybe, deep down, there’s…

  • The feeling of being “too much” or “not enough” at school, work, or in relationships
  • The exhaustion of always saying yes and making sure everyone is happy
  • The worry that follows you through every conversation, every trip, every new relationship
  • The tension of being caught between different worlds and expectations

Together, we can explore how your past experiences have shaped who you are now, and how we can navigate life with more courage and grace going forward.

In a world where you belong to so many other things – work, family, obligations – I want to offer you a space that belongs only to you. A space where you are not responsible for anyone else’s expectations or needs, where we can focus on understanding you and your life.

If you’re an immigrant, first/second-generation Canadian, or someone navigating multiple cultures, you are especially welcome here.

When I was looking for my own therapist, I struggled to find someone who truly understood the experience of living “in between” – the different cultures, values, and expectations. That’s something I carry into my work. I bring a cultural lens intentionally, but I also know you are more than any single part of your identity. You are a whole person with a unique story, and I want to hold space for all of it.

About me:

I am a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology student at the University of Ottawa, working under the supervision of Nereah Felix, Ph.D. (RP) and Yoshie Martinez (M.Ed., R.P., C.C.C., SEP).

I use a person-centred approach and draw from psychodynamic, CBT, and EFT skills. That means our work might involve exploring how past experiences continue to shape you, noticing patterns that keep showing up in your relationships or everyday life, and finding practical strategies that help you respond differently.

I was born and raised in Hong Kong until I moved to Canada six years ago. Before starting my Master’s, I was a volunteer counsellor in Toronto and Hong Kong for two years, serving teenagers to seniors facing a variety of life challenges.

If something here resonates with you, you’re welcome to book a free 15-minute consultation. We can talk briefly about what you’re looking for, you can ask any questions you have, and we can see whether working together feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure to make a decision during the call.

I offer appointments in-person in downtown Ottawa and virtual sessions throughout Ontario in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
